What is Visual Living?

Simply put, we are a royalty-free stock image website. Here's the hook: every image on this site is 100% royalty-free and every image is available for only $10 (USD). Images are offered at only one resolution and file type (RGB JPEG, usually somewhere between 2000 and 3000 pixels on its longest side depending on the image). Simple and easy.

 

Where are all the Images?

Visual Living launched in January of 2007. We will be adding more images and artist every day so please check back. We thought it was better to "kick the tires" with a limited number of images then to launch as Beta. The site is fully functional so browse and enjoy!

 

How do I purchase an Image?

You must first create an account with us or log in to your existing account. It is fast, free and easy. You then purchase credits with a major Credit or Debit card which you redeem to instantly download Royalty-Free Images.

About credits - When purchased they are banked in your account until you are ready to use them. Your remaining available credits will appear on the top of the website every time you log in. Credits expire one year from date of purchase.

 

How much do Credits cost?

Credits are $10 each. For every 10 credits you purchase (at one time) you receive 1 Free Credit! For example, if you purchase 30 credits you will receive 3 Free Credits, a total of 33 Credits (Images) for $300 dollars.

 

How much does each Image cost?

1 Image = 1 Credit = $10 for every Image on VisualLiving.com.

 

What size and format are the Images on VisualLiving.com?

All images are RGB .JPEG files. Each image is available in one size only, the particular size will vary from Image to Image. The average size of each Image is around 2,000 to 3,000 pixels on its longest side. This is equivalent to approximately an 8 x 10 inch Image scanned at 300 dpi.

 

What does 'Royalty-Free' mean?

Royalty-Free is a type of a stock Image license that allows you the unlimited use of an Image for a one time licensing fee. A Royalty-Free Image may be used in any media and in any way as defined by our licensing agreement. All Images on VisualLiving.com are licensed under the same Image licensing agreement.

 

Do the Images have model releases?

We require artists to collect and provide us with copies of model releases for Images which contain recognizable people.

No Problem! Your username is always your email address. If you forgot your password, go here and enter your email address. We will email you your password.

 

Do you offer phone support?

To keep prices low for our customers, at this time we only provide email support. Please visit the Contact page for more information.

 

Will you share my personal information with any third parties?

No, we will not share your personal information with anyone. Ever.

 

What is your refund policy?

All sales are final on Credits and Credit redemption (downloading Images).

 

Do you buy photos from Artists?

No we do not. VisualLiving.com distributes Images from Artists who's work we admire.

 

How do I distribute my Images through VisualLiving.com?

If you are interested in distributing your images through VisualLiving.com please send an email with the subject line "Portfolio Review" < editors @ visualliving.com > with a brief bio and links to several examples of your work. DO NOT email attachments of Images - these will be immediately deleted. Please send links ONLY. Failure to follow these instructions will result in the deletion of your submission.

At this time we are only reviewing portfolios online. We do not accept paper, CD, or any other physical examples of your work.
